I am trying to find the ancestry of James Crew born in 1818.

He gave his birthplace as Dudley, Worcestershire but lived for much of his life in Netherton nr Dudley.

I can trace all of his progeny up to the present day but cannot seem to get any data for his parents or ancestors or his birthplace.

I do have the feeling that there is a connection with Kinswinford but cannot confirm this.
