Hoping for some feedback on this posting.
Young CRAWFORD and Keziah Martha CLAYTON (my gr-gr-grandparents) were married in Lawrence Co., IN 08 Mar 1838. She died 12 Aug 1874 and is buried in the old Crawford Cemetery in Lawrence Co.,IN.
He is the son of William CRAWFORD and Jane MORROW. Her parents are Daniel "Cobra" CLAYTON and Anna CREWS.
Has the following information ALL been discounted ??
I have seen the running discussion regarding Anna CREWS' marriage to Daniel CLAYTON vs. the marriage to Joseph HUBBARD. From the information I have gleaned there is a 30 year age difference between the two Anna's.
Anna CREWS b:ca 1750 to Edward CREWS and wife Sarah became the wife of Joseph HUBBARD.
Anna CREWS b: 1778, whose marriage to Daniel 'Cobra' CLAYTON 22 Jan 1798 is recorded in Person Co.,VA would be the gr-daughter of Edward CREWS, daughter of Hardeman and Phoebe Doochee/Goochee CREWS and a niece of Anna Crews HUBBARD.
The Daniel 'Cobra' CLAYTON family appears in both the 1840 and 1850 census of Lawrence Co.,IN

There WAS an exodus, in the early 1850's. from Lawrence Co.,IN to IOWA due to religous conflicts.
Members of several of my ancestral families (CRAWFORD, WEVER, SPEER, WOODY,CLAYTON and others) were a part of that exodus. Many family members returned to Lawrence county,IN between 1860 and 1870 - many did not.
