I followed your link and read with interest the lineage information you have gathered. However, I can't quite follow how John Crews came to be born in, and subsequently went back to, South Carolina while all his siblings were born in Madison, Kentucky. I see further toward the body of the web page the notes about the verbal history of John Crews coming from England direct to SC, and I'd like to know which of these scenarios you actually find most valid.
I am a descendant of Lydia Crews, born about 1800 in South Carolina, m. Willam West, b. SC.
