Ceremony honoring David Crews, 1740-1821 and his son-in-law, Abraham Newland as revolutionary War Veterans was held 23 July 2005 at their location of burial in Madison County KY. DAR and SAR plaques were placed at their graves. Crews in the Richmond Cemetery and Newland at a family cemetery located a few miles from town.
