Reuben Jordan Crews married Elizabeth Yarborough Philips, d/o Charles Philips and Anna Nicks. Charles was the son of Abraham Philips of NC. Abraham was a Captain in the Revolution, a county official and in the NC legislature. Charles lived in Harris Co., GA where he died in 1836. A reunion is being held in Columbus, GA Oct 9-11 for all descendents of Abraham. Columbus was chosen because sons Charles and Isaac lived in Harris Co. GA (near Columbus), while sons James and Pleasant lived in Russell Co., AL (across the river from Columbus).
