The Whitson I have is alot earlier than that you have. Mine is from John Nelson md. Sarah Whitson in 1745 in Va. They had Wm. born 1761,Lettice born 1766,Sarah born 1768,Jemima born 1760,Nancy born 1749,Jesse born 1756,Mary born 1751, John born 1759 d. 1845 in Hamilton Ill., Margaret born 1753, and Lydia born 1746.
The Downs I have married Nelsons also. Benjamin Downs was in Ky and Tn. and was associated with Moses Nelson, Rev. Soldier and also had a son Soloman Nelson born 1813 in Tn. md. Melissa Downs from Ky. They had a son Frances Marion Nelson born 1839 in Ohio.
The Crews also md. Nelsons William Nelson fron Tn. md Jency or Jincey Crews listed in 1800s in Tn. James Nelson md. Susannah Crews in Indiana also 1800s and John Jolly Nelson md. Amelia Crews in Ky.1800s. This is all I have but I am looking for a John Nelson md to Julia Ann Shelton between 1835 and 1850. She was born 1823 in Rowan Co.,N.C. related to the Sheltons, Vincent,Beverly,Spencer and Gabriel from Pittsylvania Co.,Va. sons of Crispen and Susanah Irby.Hope I gave you some places to search for your lines and I hope you can help me with my John Nelson and Julia Ann Shelton.
