I am a decendent of Joseph Virick and Margaret Armando Ripley Barker.

The following is from my family history.

"Another interesting note regarding the Barker family (Edward Albert's" [son of the above] "sons wives'.) Bessie and Olive were the daughters of Albert Thomas Crockett. The Crocketts originated in France during the time of Louis 14th, and left France during the French Revolution and went to Ireland, later coming to America. Bessie and Olive are third cousins to Davey Crockett (of Alamo fame) Albert Thomas Crockett's wife was the daughter of Elizabeth Sutton Stevens and David Stevens. All members of the Stevens family are deceased.

The Barker and Crockett families lives only two miles apart. Mr. Crocket and E. A. were good friends. Bessie and Edward had gone to school together."
