of Message: Some Patton-Crocket information Elizabeth Patton was the daughter of Robert Patton born about 1736 in Virginia. Elizabeth married 1. her first cousin James Patton whose father, Elijah Patton, was a brother of Elizabeth's father. James was killed in the Creek War and according to Davy Crockett- he was with James when he was killed by the Indians and it fell to him to go see Elizabeth and inform her of her husband's death. Children of James and Elizabeth Patton were. 1. George Patton b. abt. 1810 2. Margaret Ann Patton Davy Crockett's children with Polly Findley were: 1. John Wesley Crockett 2. Margaret b. abt. 1812 Elizabeth Patton and Davy Crockett were married early part of 1815. At the time of their marriage she had a large farm and $800.00 in cash. Children of Elizabeth and Davy Crockett were: 1. Robert Crockett b. abt. 1816 2. Elizabeth Jane Crockett b. abt. 1818 3. Rebeckah Elvira Crockett b. abt. 1819 4. Texas' smallest state park has a statue of her and her grave along with her son George and his wife Rhoda in Acton, Hood County, Texas. The Statue/Tombstone says she was: Mrs. Elizabeth Crockett wife of David Crockett born in Buncomb Co., N.C. May 22, 1788. Married to David Crockett in Lawrence Co., Tenn, 1815 died in Jackson Co.
