I'm looking for a Crockett connection to my Kimbler family.
Henry Kimbler was born ca 1755 probably either in Lancaster, Berks or Chester County, PA. He married and unknown woman, some say Native American. She died and Henry moved to Wythe Co., VA. He died there in 1838. His 2nd wife was Mary(Polly)Tanner or Danner.
Henry named one of his sons John Crockett Kimbler and the Crocketts either inherited or bought Henry's land in Wythe after he died.
Another son was named Anderson Kimbler.
I descend from Hannah Kimbler, daughter of Henry's 1st wife. She married Samuel Levi Shrader in Wythe in 1834.
Does anyone know what connections there might be with the Crocketts and Andersons that might go back to PA? Does anyone know if Henry's 1st wife was a Crockett or Anderson?
Kimbler has also been spelled Kimler/Kimbal/Kimble/Kimpler and even Campbell.
