My brother in law, who is a descendant of Joseph Crockett and Jeane/Jane DeVigne, has taken the DNA test and we have just received the results.
Of interest, his DNA numbers do not match those of relatives of Davy Crockett that have also taken the test. You can see the test results in the "YResults" section at the Crockett Families DNA Project. http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Crockett/
My brother in law is in subgroup five, kit number 83171. Davy's family is in subgroup two. The two subgroup's DNA values do not match.
If you have not checked out the Crockett Families DNA Project web pages, I would encourage you to do so. And if you are a male Crockett, I would encourage you to take the test.
