Hi, Mary, Good to hear from another person from this family. Matthew was left out of the list of children in the Lewis memoir. Why? I don't know. But, people have copied the children listed in the excellent memoir a lot. There was a brother Matthew. How do I prove this? We agree Nathan is the father of the children listed in the Lewis Manuscript. Aaron, actually "Aaro", if you follow the family back through the records extant in TN/NC VA (all the same place different names) to Maryland, I have proven Nathan's mother is Rebecca Hawkins, d/o Matthew Hawkins whose father was John Hawkins, mariner of New England. Matthew and Aaron were close. It took me 501 pages in my Hawkins Book to do it, but I did it through YDNA and court records. I also included several branches of the family as they spread out from Maryland. I wrote the book to correctly identify the family, which has never been done. It has been confused from the very beginning - I won't elaborate on some of the mistakes because that would belabor the point and confuse everybody and probably take the rest of my life.

God bless the Hackleman family, the Stonecypher family, and all the fabulous people who have left just enough to get me through the woods. I wish I could have met Prentiss Price. Wow, what a record researcher and his knowledge has been priceless - not a pun.

Oh, by the way, there was no Rachel. I forget how that one got started, but her name was Ruth. Just, Ruth. Thanks for writing, Jeanne
