Lee thanks a bunch for this We are getting closer to hopefully identifying my Elusive Eli Crockett I want to run a theory by the list I know for a true fact that Eli Crockett married Martha Durdin aka Patsy Durdino in St Tammany Parish on 27 Mar 1813 I know for a Fact she is the Daughter of RW Soldier John Durdino aka Durdin who was b in 1761/1762 Dobbs Co NC and filed for a RW Pension 15 OCt 1832 Simpson Co MS Eli and Martha had the following 3 know proven children 1) Sarah Crockett b abt 1822 LA d after Dec 1863 but before 1870 poss Jasper or Newton Co TX (Still working on her) married 1) Daniel Mallett Lowe 23 jan 1836 Rankin Co MS daniel died ca 1853 Jasper Co TX Sarah married 2) Benjamin Richardson 6 mar 1853 Jasper Co TX Ben dies in CW on 4 Jun 1864 Beaumont of disease Sarah files papers for estate and last distrubition of estate Dec 1864 Jasper co TX after this I loose Sarah but her kids in 1870 one child was living with relatives one got married at age 14 according to census the other one I cant find in 1870 yet but do know he married in 1873 in Newton Co 2) Lettie/Letty/Letteha/Lily Crockett b 6 May 1822 MS d 3 Sept 1896 Jasper Co TX married 11 OCt 1837 Rankin Co MS Elias "Ephraim" Whitmire 3) Andrew David Crocket b 1825 d 16 mar 1865 West Liberty Liberty Co TX (Now called Dayton TX) 2 Land Records 1st Land Document Washington Co MS 12-7-1838 Preemption 458 Certificate No 17937 The United States of America To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting whereas, Robert H Buckner and David Connely assignees of Martha Crockett and Leonard Crockett have deposited in the General Land Office of the United States, a certificate of the Register of the Land office at Mount Salus whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Martha Crockett and Leonard Crockett according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April 1820, entitled "An Act making further provision, for the sale of public land, "for lots number four and five of Section Fifteen in Township Eighteen of Range Seven West, in the District of Lands subject to sale at Mount Salus Mississippi, containing one hundred and fifty eight acres.
