ATTN: Southern history enthusiasts & Thos. C. ancestors

Hi all. Yep, I'm still at it. Anyone ever remember the old Disney movie, 'Song of the South?' The little boy exclaims, "Uncle Remus is the best story teller in the whole United States of Georgia." Now then, was that just an insert for the movie or did the makers of that film pull that phrase out of well done homework? I have run across other references in which GA is named in the place of other early southern states. I am reaching out to the southern history researchers this time, and I've gone on other web sites as well. I may be way out there, but I have a hunch that I may be onto something that could show that Thomas Crockett may have been actually born in TN, not GA as HE states. What if he said, "I was born in Dixie?" Do you get my picture? Thank you very much. Diane
