I am seeking information about John and Jean (maiden name unknown) Crockett of Derry Township, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in the mid 1700s. (Derry was later placed in Dauphin County, PA when it was formed.)

According to a Commemorative Biographical book about Dauphin County (available electronically through google books), a John Crockett was on the 1756 and 1758 tax lists for West Derry. There is also record that John Crockett executed a Last Will and Testament on or about March 11, 1768 and died shortly thereafter (perhaps in April 1768). The Last Will mentions his wife Jean, his sons Thomas, Robert, John and James, and other children, names not stated. The co-executors were Jean Chambers and Robert Bradshaw. The witnesses to the Last Will were David Ramsey (a/k/a Ramsay) and Samuel Reed (a/k/a Read).

Please contact me directly if you have any information on this particular Crockett family, at duaneaboggs@live.com
