Thank you for replying to my message. Genealogy is a new area for me and one that I hope to embark on. From what I can remember my Grandmother telling me we were a German descent but that doesn't mean that there isn't also some Irish. I'm not even sure how to embark on this quest. I guess I need to ask my dad what his father's father name was and start from there. In case you haven't heard yet, there is a new website for Genealogy called Ellisislandrecords.com
It was featured on our local news and just recently the national news. There is a lot of traffic on there right now so trying to log onto it maybe difficult.
