Ginger, Your family legend follows mine. My family came from Maine. Left in 1864. I am sure we are somehow related. My Gr-Gr-Grandfather lived in Skowgegan, Sumerset county, Maine. He was born about 1808 in Mass. But Maine was part of Mass. then. Grandpa's name was Valentine Crommett. He married Easther Loomus in 1836. There children were, Valentine, Benjamine, Charles, George, Joseah, Annie, Addie, Leon. If you have any ancesters with those names it is possible our familys came from Valentine and a brother of his, or an uncle. I would be interested to here from you. I cannot find Valentines father.
