There is an article along with a picture/painting of Thomas Cruse (Brigadier General US Army Ret) who married Beatrice Cottrell daughter of Calvin E. and Mary (Jones) Cottrell from Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY.
Calvin E. Cottrell was the son of Reuben and Sarah (Patmon) Cottrell of Henrico Co., VA then Shelby and Daviess Co., KY.

The article says Thomas Cruse was born 29 Dec 1857 in Owensboro, KY and died 8 Jun 1943 in Longport, NJ
Also in the article is says that Beatrice Cottrell Cruse died 15 Feb 1936.
The article says they married 14 Feb 1882.
