I am researching the Cruse family Sussex to Australia
I am a descendant of Mary Cruse bapt 07.12. 1788 Chailey , Sussex Parents John Cruse b 1759 d 1833 Chailey and Elizabeth Harmer d 1788 – prob after birth of Mary .
John Cruse b 1759 then married again on 17March 1791 to Lucy Price and had 3 more children , Richard Cruse b 1792, Jane Cruse b 1796 Sussex, and Maria Cruse b 1801 Sussex.
I have that Mary b 1788 had 2 base-born children 1. John Owen Cruse bapt 15.12.1811 Hartfield, Sussex who was deported as convict in 1834 to Tasmania, Australia and 2. Maria Cruse b 1816 Chailey, Sussex. Then Mary Cruse b 1788 married Richard Ridley b 1788 and had 4 more children.
Maria Cruse b 1816 Chailey died 1912 Adelaide South Australia ( she is my great great grandmother) and died at my great grandmothers house .
I have a lot of information on the descendants of Maria Cruse b 1816 Chailey .
Interested in finding information or living descendants of Richard Cruse b 1792 Sussex, Jane Cruse b 1759 Sussex and Maria Cruse b 1801 Sussex.
Also researching DOWNER RIDLEY from Sussex .
