John, Long time no speak! I have now managed to put together a rather large chart of the Crisell/Chrysall/Chrisel, ( and any other spelling of the name), family history. It links us with a Royal line, even though only by marriage, when a George CRISELL (on my direct line back to William CRISELL b.1785), married a Sarah OWSTON, whose relations go back to Lady Anne of York, sister to Edward IV and Richard III. Having progressed on the CRYSAL chart back to John (cir.1530), I notice from the IGI a number of entries for the following; Gulieli CRYSALL = Elizabeth, children Georgius b.1564, Edward b. 1566, Thomas b. 1568, Gulielmus b. 1575. This develops further towards today with; Josephus CHRYSALL b. 1694; Joseph CRISALL b. 1650; Josephus CRYSALL b. 1674; Edvardis CRYSALL b. 1678 And so on. They all came from Sudbury. With the spelling the same, a dangerous assumption I know, do you know of any direct link with these and the elusive John and Susan, even though they appear 30 years or more after? Hope you can help, Regards from Mike CRISELL and father.
