My husband has the name Bernice in his family at least two times. His grandfather had a brother named Bernice Cudney and I believe there was a girl who died very young named Bernice - they pronounced it differently but spelled it the same. I have just recently been in contact online with other relatives that believe my husbands great great grandfather was a James Cudney. I have found a Cudney line with a James Cudney who was born in Canada - My husbands great grandfather was Martin J. Cudney and he was born in Ohio in 1854. I noticed a posting in regards to Jane Cudney who married a Woods - they had a son named Martin. The family was in Iowa for a time and then in Kansas and Missouri. Cheryl Cudney
