I am looking for the family of William David Cullum (my great grandfather) - he would have been born in the City of Baltimore around 1887 or 1888. He was married to Minnie Selma Geiger & I believe he used the name David. (Her gravestone states wife of David Cullum - but my grandfather's birth certificate states Wm. David Cullum). I have been told that his father's name was Alonzo & that he had two brothers, Robert & Eugene & a sister - Gertie. I know for a fact that Eugene exists as I have postcards from him to Minnie. There was also a wife - but I don't have her name. These Cullums moved from Baltimore to Aberdeen sometime before 1911. I have been told that they were or were related to the Cullum family that owned a corn farm that was later sold to Mitchell's Canning Company. My grandfather, Clifton David Cullum Sr. was born in February of 1912. His mother, Minnie, died in 1916 & he lived with her parents from then on. We were originally given the impression that William David just left the boy never to be seen from again, but I don't think that was the case. I have pictures of him in a WWI Army Uniform & there are postcards from William's mother to Clifton where she tells Clifton that his dad is doing fine. My father (Clifton's son) remembers that William died around 1940 or so. He remembers going to the funeral. I don't have any more information than that & I would appreciate any help anyone has. I was told that the family was Irish & came over originally during the Potato Famine.
