CP Cumley was Commodore Perry Cumley. He and Rebecca Walters were my great-great grandparents. He was a teacher (Rebecca was a pupil of his) and also engaged in riverboat trading after moving to Missouri. He lived in the neighborhoods of Sikeston and Charleston, Missouri.
I believe he was born about 1808 and died about 1888. He had 9 known children:
Mary Josephine (married Sayers)
Alberdie (married Rivers)
Lizzie Deal (married Crenshaw)
Addie May
Theodore Spurgeon
John Henry
William Albert - believed moved to Australia
Charles Frederick (married Ione Read - moved
to California)
James Thomas (married Cordelia Emeline Jones
moved to Texas. This was my great grand-
father) Had 3 sons: Russell Walters,
Thomas William, and James Commodore - all
are deceased. I can give you further
decendents from here if desired.
This is all I know about the children of Commodore Perry. If you have any further information about them, or about his ancestors I would appreciate hearing about it.
