Hi,
I have a letter from a Margaret Cunnane who mentions Dr. Phillip. There is a long story here. It seems a William Cunnane, who is my line had a brother, John, who emigrated to america before the Civil War. (William and his family came in the 1880's). The family lost track of this brother and presumed that he had been killed in the Civil War. It turns out that he had gone to California and had 9 sons. All of these sons remained bachelors except one, this son, whose name I don't know, had 2 sons Dr. Phillip was one of them and he had a daughter named Phyllis who married John Kelly. This is all sifted from a rambling letter sent to my Dad in about 1950. If you would like a copy email me at mryan@ilhawaii.net She said Dr. Phillip was the head of the Board of Health. Does this sound like the guy.?
Keep in touch.
My name is Ryan too by the way.
My grandmother was a Cunnane who married a Ryan.
Aloha,
Mary
