Looking for relatives, records I have are: one William Cunnane was born in about 1800 in County Roscommon. He married Mary Brogan, and they had three children.Stephen, the youngest,emigrated to the United States in 1850, but returned to take over the family homestead when his parents passed away. He married Brigida Fox in 1860 in the church at Kiltevan.They had William Jerome Cunnane, whom was 7 months old when they emigrated again to New York. They apparently changed their name to Cannon when they boarded the ship F.B. Cutting in 1863, because they are listed as Stephen,Brigida, & William Cannon. They lived for a time in Hancock, NY and Laporte, PA. Stephen worked at a Tannery there during the Civil War. They are also known to have lived in Cinncinati, OH, where they had Fox relations on Brigida's side. They eventually settled in Wilcox, NE,
They had 6 children altogether. Other family names are Fox, Coner, & Brennan, from County Roscommon & County Kilkenny.
