We am trying to find out more about Bartholomew Cunnane. We believe he was born in Knock, County Mayo Ireland on 1 May 1827.
He was coming to the United States to study for the
priesthood, and Margaret Mullaney came to study for the sisterhood. They met each other on the boat coming from Ireland, and they fell in love and got
married instead. We think this was about 1854.
He died in Santa Barbara 22 Aug 1900. Children were Dr. William Barnard Cunnane, Mary Alice Cunnane, MArgaret J. Cunnane, John Bartholomew Cunnane, Dr. Thomas Edward Cunanne, Charles B. Cunnane.
If you can shed any light on Bartholomew, it would be greatly appreciated!
