Daane families in Detroit 1920's
Posted by: Adriaan Marinus Daane (ID *****6476) Date: December 18, 2005 at 01:53:23
  of 9

Two of my Great uncles Huibrecht and Johannes Daane immigrated to the USA in the 1920's.
Johannes worked in the Ford factory, and lived at 38 Pasadena, Detroit Michigan (9 may 1923). Had two sons; Marinus and John. Marinus had a son named Robert.
Our family originated in Kloetinge, Zeeland where my Great Grandfather had a butchery which was taken over by his son Adriaan who was married to Cornelia de Jonghe. They had five children; Marinus, Hendrik, Adriana, Rika en Jan.
Before WWII this family moved to Rotterdam where I was born in 1934.
I now live in South Africa and intending to move to the USA to join our son John in Seattle.
I would like to find some of my next of kin if possible.
Can anyone put me on the right track?
Sincerely,
Art M. Daane
