katie, Hello again. My pleasure in trying to share any knowledge that I may have acquired since starting to search for my family tree about 3 or 4 years ago. Some ideas/sites to visit: #1, you probably want to get yourself some software, if you don't already have a program to keep track of your family tree #2, You will want to visit these sites to start. www.ancestry.com www.familysearch.org (the mormon church) (here is a link to a d'angelo family also) http://www.genealogy.com/genealogy/users/i/a/n/Anna-Maria-Iannetta/ http://home.att.net/~t.deangelo/deangelo-bellone.html lastly http://www.rootsweb.com/ #3, the best research centre, I am told is likely your local Mormon or Latter Day Saints church. In fact, I received an email two weeks ago from a researcher that happens to have a common name with one that I am looking for, Disipio. Except her heritage is from a town in Italy that is about 5 km from my parent's home town, population about 300. Anyhow, she indicated to me that she worked for the LDS church and that this small town of Rapino is in their archive from 1800 to 1909. Therefore, I suspect that anytown you are looking for is likely tracked by the LDS church. Lastly, I started by asking my parents lots and lots of questions and this got me going back to the mid 1850s. Hope this helps, Nick Notify Administrator about this message?
