This is a new GenForum, so let's begin to exchange information! Little is known about our particular branch of D'Antonis. We believe that our branch lived in Corleone, Sicily as late as the 1930's. We have a letter that was written by Lucia D'Antoni in 1930 and was postmarked from Corleone.
Our ancestor, Biagia D'Antoni Venturella, sister of Lucia, lived in Louisiana during the 1890's. She relocated to New Mexico around 1896 and in 1912 lived on farmland in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She's interred in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
We're anxious to hear from other D'Antonis. It's possible that Biagia had other relatives who immigrated from Sicily via New Orleans.
