I'm looking for info on this man born in Italy c. 1882. Is he connected with the New Orleans D'Antoni's? Any additinal info about him would be greatly appreciated!! He (Vencenzo D'Antoni) arrived aboard the Roma at Ellis Island on 31 July 1907, age 24, married, from Cefalii(sp), Palermo. He is marked "non-immigrant." He was traveling with Salvatore p)Tmbraguglia (sp), age 18, single, sailor, also from Cefalii(sp) Palermo. They each had $20 and were going to Giuseppe D'???? at Blair Station 232 Box, Pittsburg, PA. Giuseppe was Vencenzo's father-in-law, Salvatore's uncle. Salvatore had never been in the US, but Vencenzo had, between 1900-1906 in CO. In 1910 he is in Las Animas, CO, working in a coal camp, with wife Rose and daughter Jennie, both born in Italy, and son Samuel, born in CO. He & Rose married in 1907, presumably before he boarded the boat for the USA. Looks like he went back to marry, his wife stayed and had their first baby and joined him in CO afterwards. Can't prove any of that. In 1920 he & his family are in Baltimore. Jennie's name is now Concetta S. and all 3 have been naturalized (in 1914). There are now more children, Rose, Joseph, Fannie M., Anthony, and Mary A. all born in the USA. He is sharing a house ata 226 Pearl Street with Joseph & Mary Sarias. In 1930 he lives on Saratoga St. in Baltimore. Daughter Concetta/Jennie and Rose must have married. Rosa, Joseph, Fannie, and Mary are still in the home. Anthony's name has changed to Giovanni. But there are more children, Vincent, Margaret, John S. and another Anthony. Alice Campbell Notify Administrator about this message?
