A copy of the following obit was in the Hinton, WV weekly newspaper.
Mary Mildred Deeds Burdette, age 87, of Alderson, WV died peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday April 29, 2005 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, WV, following a short illness.
Born April 25, 1918 at Jumping Branch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence DeRussie and Bessie Mae Lilly Deeds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Norman O. Burdette, who she married on June 2, 1941 in Bristol, TN, a son: Norman Lynn Burdette, a brother: Robert Deeds, three sisters: Lois Hogan, Ruth Iddings, and Ruby Burdette, and a grandson: Scott Jeffrey Burdette...
Funeral services were Monday May 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church, Alderson, WV with the Rev. Mark Stauffer officiating....
