Lena H. Turner
(October 29, 1916 - June 12, 2008)
Lena H. Turner, 91 of 228 Main St. Hinton died Thursday June 12, 2008 in Summers County A.R.H. following a long illness.
Born October 29, 1916 at Beaver, she was the daughter of the late Charley C. & Oma C. Moter Deeds.
Lena was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hinton. She was a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Turner. One sister & four brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Crawford & Patsy Fleshman, both of Hinton. One brother, Dewey J. Deeds of Roaring Spring. Five granddaughters, one grandson and eleven great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday June 15, 2008 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ronald Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Deeds Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
Men of the First Baptist Church in Hinton will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shoe Box Christmas Project c/o First Baptist Church of Hinton, WV.
