I am in a similiar quandry with regards the de Greene/de la Zouche connection...
For one thing... Eudo is the brother of Baron Alan de la Zouche... not his son... they are both sons of Roger la Zouche son of Alan de Coche (or Porhoet)...
They are French. They were invited in to England by the decendents of Willian the Conqueror, who was Norman (Normans are descendents of saxon invasions of france).
Alan de la Zouche is the one who married into royalty through Helen de Quincy...
Eudeo, though brother in law, was not a contributer to a direct line of descent...
Although he did marry a minor Millicent de Cantilou... his supposed daughter "Lucy" is not recorded... he had three known heirs...
If anyone has any more to share on the subject...
