Adam Dellinger born 1825 Lincoln County NC died 1866 was the son of Moses Dellinger. His wife was Mary Polly Blakely born 1827 Mecklenburg County, NC. My notes on Adam is are as follows:
Enlisted Lincoln County CSA March 15 1862 at age 42
Company K 49th Regiment
Admitted to CSA hospital in Richmond Va December 9, 1864 on December 31,1864 given a 60 day furlough and sent home to Cherryville NC secondarysource National Park Service
1870 census shows Mary and her 6 children living in North Brook Townshipof Lincoln County
A 1878 deed filed in Lincoln County shows her living in Union County Sc
Lincoln County Will Book 3 Page 91. Adam Dellinger Oct. 3, 1865 July1866, I give to my wife Mary P. during her widowhood all my land and all my stock of cattle, hogs, and sheep, and my house and all my household and kitchen furniture during her widowhood. But at her death or marriage,the property is to be put up for public auction sale. My executor hereafter named and sold and equilly divided amongst my children.
I lastly ordain and direct that my brother John H Dellinger to be my executor. Wit. John Brown, LM Beam his mark

William S. was born in 1849 in Lincoln County, NC and married first Mary Elliott. They divorced 13 Oct 1878.

Mary V. Dellinger Cleveland County NC vs William Dellinger of Camden SC
These Devorce papers state that he had lived in Columbia SC and owned land there, and he moved to Camden in 1878 lived with another woman and had two children by her. He did work as a carpenter and is farming a few miles from town now. These papers are very hard to read and hard to understand ao I will not strain my eyes.

I hope that this is the right William S. Dellinger. I do not have any more information on William but do have Adam's children.
