Yes, we are related. Maria R. Darrington was the daughter of John Darrington (1786-1855) and Rebecca James Hicks. Wer are related two ways, the James family and the Darrington family. Your John Darrington was a brother of my Mary Darrington who married Samuel James. My Mary Darrington married Francis Boykin in about 1810-1813 in Kershaw Co. SC and then my family moved to Conech Co. before 1820 and John Darrington and his family moved to Clarke Co. as well as the Samuel James family before 1820.
By the way, did you happen to know a Rita Jane Boykin who was a school teacher in Brewton for years? She was a distant relative of mine. Looking forward to hearing from you. Charlotte G. Boykin
