See other notes in this forum. We now know that Elizabeth Gardiner, d/o James and Ann(a) Jane (Torance)Gardiner,married Horace DeVaughn, a wheelright in Childs Alley, near the Capitol in DC. The family is in the 1880
DC census, with Peyton, b. 1810/11 VA in the hshd.
The 1850 Alexandria VA census, has a Peyton hshd which is similar. Does anyone know the relationship to a TAYLOR family.?
