I have been looking into this individual and he was a "minister of the gospel" according to early marriage records in Greene county and he married people ca. 1813-1820. I saw him on a deed as a trustee obtaining land for the Methodist Episcopal Church. He started out as a Bucks county Quaker at Cane Creek but was "dis" according to their records and went to TN according to the Doane book vol 1. I hope this helps.
