there is a clue there;

another AI and it's a MOST unusual name is in Haldimand b ca 1880 son of LEONARD DOAN
I/ We are not certain of your John and Sarah DOAN, Jonathans siblings were Mary Ann ca 1840 AND Emma Jane about 1843

the other AI descends from no # 232 ELIJAH DOAN probably yours too
