Probably a better idea as there is so much info on the Doanes, for each descendant of Dea. John Doane has between half to five pages you may like to purchased the book. Dea John himself has c 20 pages. The photocopied reprints are available from NEHGS (New England History and Genealogical Society) Boston Ma. tel (617) 536-5740. It was only about $30 and usually available in stock.

'The Doane Family,
I Deacon John Doane of Plymouth
II Doctor John Done of Maryland'
compiled and pub by Alfred Alder Doane, 1902
4 ed. 1984, 514 pages, hard cover, photos and a good index. I think is was only about $30 - excellent buy.
