constance snow was actually constance hopkins married to nicholas snow. the snows were very good friends w/ the doanes, also some of their children married in to the doane family. it's in the first DOANE FAMILY book. deacon john doane did not marry a second woman, at least the book doesnt acknowledge a second marriage, and there is hardly any info. abt ABIGAIL. to quote from the book:"OF JOHN DOANE'S EARLY LIFE, OF HIS PARENTAGE, THE PLACE OF HIS NATIVITY, THE FAMILY NAME OF HIS WIFE, THE NAME OF THE VESSEL ON WHICH HE CAME NOTHING WHATEVER HAS YET BEEN DISCOVERED". also:"HIS WIFE'S NAME APPEARS AS ABIGAIL". from his will:"AND TO MY LOVING WIFE I GIVE........". LYDIA was his first child (daughter, not his wife). joy
