Frank J. Doane passed away August 23, 2005. Born January 14, 1915 in Sugar Hill, Pennsylvania he was the son of Jacob Jay and Nettie Frances Morris Doane. Frank worked at Durez for 35 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of the North Tonawanda Auxiliary Police. Frank enjoyed hunting and fixing clocks.
Frank is survived by his wife Bertha E., McKnight Doane of Lockport; father of Janice (Wayne) Weaver of Florida, Lorraine (Leroy) Rice of Tonawanda, the late Frank Eugene Doane, Jay (Marie) Doane,'Sr. of North Tonawanda, Joyce (James) Wilson of Lockport, David (Pat) Doane Sr. of Tonawanda, Ronald (Jem) Doane Sr, Sr. of Georgia and Kim (James) Miller of Getzville; grandfather of 27, great grandfather of 53 and great great grandfather of 3; brother of Lewis, Len, Bill and Paul Doane and Annabel Senior.
Friends may call Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
