Hi Judith.
I am really hoping you maybe able to help me.
My 3x Great grandmoter was Margaret Dorward, born Arbroath about 1777. A cousin of mine Eddie Humphries as done all the work on our family tree, but as been stuck on Margaret for quite a few years now.
We know she married John Humphries in Stoke Dameral Plymouth
in 1802. A wittness at the marriage was a James Dorward ( I dont think this is your James Dorward, but you never Know)
Do you have any siblings of James Dorward that may give us a clue to Margaret, or any siblings to John Dorward, it possible she may have been a sister or cousin to your James dorward.
The name Dorward as been used as a second christian name ever since John Humphries married Margaret Dorward, in fact it is my second name.
All the best and good hunting Tom.
