Hi,
I have documentation on the Hertzel line, Regina Hertzel married a Johannes Santee and had several children. I do have information from the Dryland Church Records. I'm still trying to find the Parents of Rebecca/Margaret Santee who married John Dorward.
Johannes and Regina's Children are:
Valentine b.May 3, 1764 married Christanna Painter
Magdalena b. abt 1766 married Adam Arnold
Leonard b. Oct 14, 1768 married Maria
Elizabeth B. abt 1771 May have married Peter Wilhelm (still trying to prove)
Sarah B. July 5, 1773
George B. Jan 23, 1776 married Margaret Shoerer
Regina B.8/3/1780 Married John Kirkenthal
Christine B. 11/24/1782
Margaret B. abt 1786
I have a baptism of a daughter Sarah Dorward, b. sept 22, 1803 and bap 10/16/1803 at the Dryland Church, the sponsors are Jacob Hallick and Christine Sandy. The other Santee/Sandy baptisms listed at the Church appear to be the descendats of Johannes and Regina Hetzel Santee. Johannes and Regina did have a daughter Margaret. Sarah Dorward baptism list her mother as Margaret, other records show her name as Rebecca. I believe the Parents are Johannes and Regina, but I will not say they are till I can find further proof.
It appears that John and Rebecca/Margaret moved/lived in Lehigh county and the other children were baptised in Lehigh.
I do have the parents of John Dorward. And I have Information on the Hertzel's since I'm a descendant from Regina's brother Jonas. I haven't found a will for Johannes or concrete evidence that Margaret/Rebecca was a child of Johannes and Regina.
