I am in no way related to this person, but thought I'd post the information in case it was helpful to someone. Source, Lowell Sun Lowell MA October 29, 1930 DOWD - It will be with much regret that the many friends of Miss Katherine E. Dowd will learn of her death which occurred this morning at her home, 192 School street, after a brief illness. Deceased was a native of this city, the daughter of John and Ann (Barrett) Dowd, and was a life-long resident of St. Patrick's parish where she was especially well known, having been for years connected with the Ladies Aid society and the Immaculate Conception sodalities, and in her younger days was an active participant in all the various affairs, and although of a quiet and unassuming nature, through her kindly disposition, she counted a host of friends. She leaves two sisters, the Misses Mary A., and Cecelia T. Dowd, and one brother, Michael J. Dowd, court officer at the district court; two nephews, Charles D. Foley and John C. Dowd, and one niece, Mrs. Edward Moir of East Orange, N.J.; also one grandnephew and a grandniece. Notify Administrator about this message?
