ADLONIA T. DOWD
Adlonia Taylor Dowd, 98, of Tarboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Hart's Chapel Missionary Church with the Rev. Elijah Harris Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Northeastern Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
Dowd is survived by four daughters, Lucy Whitehead of Tarboro, Charlotte Harris of St. Petersburg, Fla., Betty Mallet of Indianapolis, Ind., and Zelma Dowd Peeler of Rocky Mount.; one son, Joe Willie Dowd of Philadelphia Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Hunter-Odom Funeral Service and a wake from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Hart's Chapel Church.
Arrangements are by Hunter-Odom Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
