I have found info. concerning a Joseph Dowdall / Dowdle, who died before the 25th of Apr 1801, in Hancock Co., GA. court records. Granted citation to James Evans Sen'r and James Evans Jr. to administer on the estate of Joseph Dowdall deceased.
Also found info. at LDS posted by a Veldon R. Hodgson
That a Joseph Dowdee, b.~ 1725-1770 of Craven Co., NC,
died ~ 1801 Hancock Georgia, spouse Ester Barrington,
8 Oct 1795 Craven Co.
My interest is with the Evans do you know if they have a connection to the Dowdy family.
And am I going in the right direction with the above info., with your posting.
