I have the parents of Wyatt Dowdy as Wyatt Dowdy and Mildred Foster, but I have no proof.
Wyatt Dowdy, Sr. appears to have married twice in Bedford Cty., VA, perhaps first wife died in childbirth???
Sep. 11, 1809; Wiatt Dowdy & Lucinda Wood; Peyton Foster, Surety; Milly Wood, consent; Married by James Mitchell, Sept. 12, 1809.
Dec. 26, 1811; Wiatt Dowdy & Milly Foster; John Dowdy, Surety; Consent of John Foster; Married by James Scott, Dec. 26, 1811.
I have 9 children for Thomas Dowdy and wife, but no marriages for any of them.
