I am looking for any information on the Standish Downer family. I have heard that my Great Grandmother Bessie Corby Downer Fredericks and her siblings was heir to a castle in England. She was never able to go there due to sickness in her family at the time. I am not sure where in England this castle was located. I am interested in the castle in England only to maybe find a couple clues about the parents of my GG Grandfather George Standish Downer. I am hoping to find out where he was born and maybe find where the Downer Family Bible is located. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
