Hi Joanna: I, too, am a decendant of Frances Downer and Tabitha Husbands. I don't have anything definite, but on another website I saw a record of Tabitha Husbands entering Anson, NC, I think, accompanied by a relative, Lydia Downer Gates. This Lydia Downer Gates was married at one time to a Samuel Gates and I think moved out west to Oregon. This same Lydia Downer Gates was from the Bennington,VT area and it is as close as I have come to linking our Downers with the VT and CT Downers. At this point I have nothing further, but am still searching. It is interesting. Thanks for the reply. Carolyn
