Unfortunately since I wrote this post I have discovered that Elizabeth Downer b. Abt. 1784 who married Thomas Singer on Feb. 8, 1818 in Scioto Co., OH is not the daughter of Jonathan Downer & Druscilla Springer of Fayette Co. PA. They had a daughter Elizabeth but she married an Allen and stayed in Fayette Co. and is buried there. I have been unable to find any Downers who were in Scioto, Lawrence, Union Co. area at this time period who could have been her parents. She & Thomas named their first child John Downer Singer and one of their grandchildren was named Druscilla - which seemed like this was her family....somehow she may still be connected. I just have not discovered how and this family has become a mystery to me. I still feel that her father is "a" John Downer - just can't find him. I have in fact wondered if Jacob had other children in addition to Jonathan and she perhaps was the daughter of one of those Downers. So I am very interested in knowing how you found Daniel to be Jacob's son. This could be a clue for me as to how to find additional children of Jacob and Elizabeth Stainer Downer....so rather than being able to help you...I need your help!!
I do still have information on the family that I could send to you...but my connection to them is up in the air now. Also I do not have anything on any child except Jonathan who married Druscilla Springer.
