Downers in Michigan

I have a Daniel O'connell, his 2nd wife is a Mary. I think she was married once before and her married name may have been Downer. The reason I think this is because they were married abt. 1869 and on the 1870 census there are 3 Downer children living with them. Ellen age 11; Julia age 9 and Margaret age 7. I have her maiden name as Kelly but that could be wrong. I just started researching this family again after many years. My O'connells came from Macroom, County cork, Ireland. Supposed to have immigrated from Ireland to Michigan on the ship John Stuart in 1851. I can find no passenger list for this ship for that year. Mary Oconnell was b. August 30, 1833 and died Dec. 6, 1887 (according to records at the FHC website). Daniel Oconnell was b. Dec. 21, 1804 and died March 13, 1914. Yes,he was 109 when he died. He was a member of the Elks club and he was the oldest living Elk in the world when he died. They lived in Deerfield Township, Livingston County, Michigan. I believe in later years he lived in Genesse county in the Linden and fenton areas. If anyone has info on these Downers please contact me. Thanks.
